Here are some practical next steps you can take as you begin your new faith journey:
1. TELL SOMEONE
Please don't keep this amazing decision to yourself - tell someone you know who is following Jesus. God designed us for community, and we were made to walk toward Him together. We need one another to live life to the fullest.
2. FILL OUT A CONNECT CARD
We would be honored to celebrate you and walk with you as you begin your journey with Jesus. Visit the connect table at our Sunday Gathering, and we'll pray for you, and give you a free gift as well. You can fill out a connect card there, or fill out the quick connect form on the bottom of this page, and we will contact you with more information on following Jesus, on getting connected with Church, and we can even meet up to talk more about faith if you'd be interested in that.
3. BEGIN TO READ GOD’S STORY
The Bible is one of the best resources we have for learning to relate to God. This book is His story and our history as humankind. It teaches us what He is like, and what He’s been up to throughout the course of history, and it points us toward the good future He’s leading us to. You can read right here in this app. Start with the book of Mark to read about the life of Jesus, and it can be helpful to select the message version (MSG) for a story-like depiction of the Bible.
4. COMMUNICATE WITH GOD
The best way to get to know someone is to talk to them. It’s no different with Jesus. There are no “right words” or formulas for prayer, you simply begin talking and listening. Just like any other relationship, it grows over time, but give it a try. You can also reference the book of Psalms in the Bible to read some examples of what a prayer life can look like.
5. COME TO CHURCH ON SUNDAYS
Attending church regularly is one of the most helpful ways to continue growing in your relationship with Jesus. We weren't built to do life, especially life following Jesus, alone. So come along, hear teaching on the Bible each week, connect and pray with others, worship God in a community. We'd love to see you each week. For more info on our Sunday services, click HERE.
